Guidelines for the Centre
- To support safety and adhere to insurance regulations riders are encouraged to participate in rally sessions if wanting to ride off farm.
- Participants Parents/or their chosen responsible adult are required to attend rally afternoons and assist the rider throughout the afternoon as required. It is our intention this term to foster a family oriented environment which will support better outcomes for our riders and promote an actively involved community.
- Bookings are essential for Rallies due to horse allocation, as riders are assigned a suitable horse for the session/season.
- To qualify for our 2023 Equestrian team Instructors will assess competency for off farm events and a minimum of three rallies need to be attended on the one horse before being able to attend an event if deemed competent by the instructor to do so. One horse one rider for our Equestrian team events.
- All riders attending off farm events must present at 4Mile Farm on the day directed to clean and prepare their tack and horse and help pack up for the event.
- Riders participating off farm, need to be accompanied by a responsible adult who is actively involved in child and horse care at the events at all times. 4Mile staff and volunteers are only there to oversee on the day and cannot be responsible for the safety and care of participating individuals during these events. (If you need help finding a responsible adult for the event please let us know).
- It is the riders responsibility to meet the horse on arrival at the event to help unload and then remain with their horse until the event has finished and after presentations and the horse is safely loaded and headed for home.
