"Letting the children be children".
At CQ Footprints we aim to help children build environmental and outdoor connections through hands on projects, real life skills, new adventure and nature immersion. Through our programs we also aim to develop the children’s resilience, confidence, self-esteem, independence, creativity and initiative through giving them space, trust, freedom of choice through many experiences and opportunities in a self-initiated, learning environment.
"Bringing the dirt back into childhood"

- CREATE RESILIENCE AND CONFIDENCE THROUGH TRYING & FAILING
We (Barb and Nicky) are two friends from Teacher, Early Childhood, Family Day Care, Distance Education and Homeschooling backgrounds. We are both mothers who have the same passion for nurturing children to discover their own strengths and develop their interests. Wildlings Forest School, forms the back bone of our philosophies as we both have studied and mentored through their courses. We have carefully combined our studies with our own personal experiences, passions, skills and flare to develop a rich, outdoor learning space for our programs. Our program is designed to allow children to be curious by breaking down the barriers and opening up pathways to create a unique, outdoor, hands on learning experience to nurture and develop lifelong skills for the learner.
Our weekly program, is situated in a familiar setting which allows children to form a connection to place, a sense of ownership and a feeling of belonging. It also allows opportunity to delve deeper into various activities and projects of interest, and to develop new skills and experiences forming open ended opportunities in a variety of outdoor spaces in a safe, friendly, environment rather than explicit, external direction for their learning and skill development.
Through our programs we help our participants develop skills such as assessing risks, planning, problem solving, testing projects, reassessing, working as a team and collaborating as one. The children learn a vast array of hands on and life skills, as well as encouraging a growth mindset and developing their social and emotional well-being by building confidence and self-esteem through activities. At CQ Footprints we believe using nature, nurtures the building blocks for life.
